Sunday School for All Ages

   Sunday School: It's for everyone!

  • Classes take place on Sunday mornngs, 10:30-11:30 am, in O'Malley Hall at St. Mary's in Bath
  • Dates are listed on the sidebar.
  • Part of every class is a breakout session for different age groups: Adults, Teens, Grades PreK-3, Grades 4-7, and Confirmation Class. 
  • Classes all include prayer, activity, discussions (within breakout sessions) and an action component for living out our faith. We will be using Ascension Press, Inc.'s program Chosen as the basis of our classes.

Grades 5 to 12: St. John Vianney Youth Group

  • For Junior High and High School Youth: all about living faith in their everyday lives through worship, building community (having fun!), doing service to others, and learning about our faith.
  • We gather as a parish group, as well as with other youth groups and with Diocesan Events such as retreats, Jr. High Adventure Day, Senior High Convention, and more. November 2017 we will also be gathering nationally, in Indianapolis for the National Catholic Youth Conference.
  • Meeting dates are also on the sidebar. Meetings are noon to 1:30 pm in McGill Hall at St. Gabriel's

Adult Education: for inquiring minds....

  • RCIA: Rite for Christian Initiation for Adults: a process for people who are exploring or have decided to join the Roman Catholic faith.
  • Adult Education classes: will vary throughout the year, with many interesting things for all! Check our Adult Ed page for more info... changes are being made daily to our pages, so keep checking if we didn't get there, yet! Current plans are:
  • Discovering Christ: September 10th through November 5th, Sunday evenings from 5:30-8 pm at O'Malley Hall... Dinner included! There is no gathering on October 8th (Columbus Day Weekend) or October 22nd (there is a one day retreat at McGill Hall on the 21st, lunch included).
  • Following Christ: will take place after the holidays, early 2018. It is for those folks who have completed Discovering Christ and want to go the next step. Stay tune for more information!
  • In addition to the Sunday School Adult Class, there will also be a Lenten discussion series at times of your choosing as well as a Wednesday Evening Lenten Supper with a presentation to follow. Details are being worked out but material will revolve around our Diocese's Year of the Eucharist.

Sacramental Preparation

Youth Group Meetings 

Youth Group meets the first Sunday of the month. From September to June, meetings are held at St. Mary's Church, and through the summer months meetings are at St. Gabriel's. Both sites have the meetings from noon to 1:30 pm.

There are additional gatherings for special events. Current scheduling is as follows:  

 September 23/24: Movie and Sleepover: Guardians of the Galaxy II. O'Malley Hall, 6:30 pm. Pizza and Popcorn and Soda.

    October 1: Youth Group Meeting

    October 8: Making and serving Sunday Supper

    November 5: Youth Group Meeting

    November 16-19: National Catholic Youth Convention in Indianapolis

   December 3: Youth Group Meeting
